Buying and renting safely

• Meet in a public place or the agency office, in daylight, with someone you trust.
• Visit the property before paying anything, and match it with the ad.
• Check the registry, transfer letter or allotment with the society or land record office.
• Match the seller's CNIC with the ownership documents.
• Never pay a token or advance without a signed, written receipt.
• Be careful with prices far below the fair-price range shown on the ad.
